Seeing Big Picture

Most of the time if we reflect our life, it is similar to the picture we take using a camera. All parameters being perfectly set, in totality life is not fulfilling. Something is not in focus. Many times in corporate world I was asked to look at the big picture – frankly I never understood what it meant to be. Today I understand the big picture. It is all about placing the small elements at the right place and to do so we have to focus on the entire picture and not just the subject. If I reflect on life, three elements of education, work and money, the subject being relationship and background being family, friends and luxuries form the complete picture of life. Often our focus is getting the elements right – good education, challenging work (not pressurizing), tons of money (cash is reality), most of us succeed as well. What possibly could get least attention is placing the subject and background right. Imagine placing relationships (subject) on a rating scale ranging from negative to positive. If you move relationships on either side of the scale you should be visualizing the cascading effect on the background and the life as well. Placing the subject correctly in picture of life makes a huge difference even though the elements are placed right. In photography depth of field  refers to the fine details of background – could be low or high. Similarly in Life the background details could be so low that it leads to Bokeh effect, all you have to ensure is the elements are set correct and subject is placed well. Definitely Life will be much more fulfilling.
